Come one, Come all...

... and welcome to C. fredrick Design Review, a daily Design Review and Inspiration website.  Every week there will be a general topic that we will explore and hopefully you will find some inspiration in it, or at least something to pass the time at work. A few other things that are in the works here at C.fDS will be some posts of my original design work and a weekly "What the..." post.

So for my first post at C. fredrick Design Review I had a few ideas for topics from Literal Inspiration to the work of Andrea Palladio (worth looking into if you had dreams of growing up to become a princess or be the President in the White House)

But seeing as New England just got hit by a "Huge freakin storm" and I'm posting from a Starbucks there isn't much Inspiration around me unless you count the floor grid that has 3, count them, 3 different color tiles! Although I can't bash Starbucks because they make a hell of a latte and I love their electricity.

So seeing as there is no power or heat anywhere I want to explore some interesting fireplaces because thats where my minds at right now.

The Zeta fireplace by EcoSmart Fire is the perfect metaphor for the huddled masses around their laptops in Starbucks. Designed by John Dimopoulos, Zeta is a mix of nontraditional materials found on a fireplace including leather, stainless steal, and glass. You can almost feel the warm breeze of heat that flows out the opening of this great piece.

I think I have now used up my seat time now and must allow another person use this sweet sweet power plug that have became my home for the last 2 hours.
Please if you enjoyed this post share it with you friends, coworkers, complete strangers you have meet at Starbucks, fellow Facebookers, and please stumble me! Now get out there and touch some architecture.
